This is somewhat of a random post, but I recently decided to put together a little pre-baby scrapbook, and as I was looking through pictures I came across this picture of me and my two sisters Kelli and Shelley. It made me think about how thankful I am for the family that God, in His good kindness, has given me. God has used these two godly sisters of mine in so many ways to show me more of Himself and to challenge me in my faith. It is so encouraging to know as Philippians 2 tells us, that God does work within us to will and to act according to His good purpose! A very evident way that I see the Lord's good purpose revealed is through the family that He has so graciously given me. As this family has started to grow (with marrying Adam and becoming part of another wonderful family!!) and as Adam and I start our own family, I praise God that He is faithful and that He is going to continue to will and act according to His good purpose in my life! I pray that I would constantly rejoice in His goodness and acknowledge His ways and His goodness to me in even the small things of life.
Shelley and Kelli, you are a true blessing from the Lord. I thank God that, He in His grace, has called you to Himself and that He has used you in my life for my spiritual growth and for His good purpose! I love you both so much!
Psalm 18:30-32
As for God, His way is perfect;
the word of the Lord is flawless.
He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him.
For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God?
It is God who arms me with strength
and makes my way perfect.
