Definitely Worth Your Time!!

Thanks to the pastor's wife from our church, Cara Croft, sending me a link, this afternoon I was able to watch a video that was incredibly encouraging, impacting, and powerful.  I decided to post it on our blog in the hopes that many of you would take the time (and believe me it is well worth your time!) to check it out yourself.  Here is the link:  http://deathisnotdying.com/fullvideo

A brief description of what it is about:

This video is about a 37 year-old woman, Rachel Barkey, who is the wife and mother of two children and has just recently been diagnosed with incurable bone,liver, and skull cancer.  The doctors suspect that she will not live much longer.  

In the midst of what seems like such a terribly painful, trying, and devastating time in this woman's life, she tells her audience about why she is able to have peace and hope. She goes on to say that what defines her is not her role as a wife, or as a mother, but what defines her is her relationship with Jesus Christ.  She then goes into detail sharing what she would want her own kids to know about what is most important in life:  

To know God, to know yourself, to know the Gospel, and to know your purpose.

Do not be conformed any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing, and perfect will

I pray that you would take the time to watch this amazing video and that God would use it in your life to challenge you, encourage you, convict you, and cause you to truly ask yourself: Do I know God, Do I truly know myself, Do I know the Gospel, and Do I know my purpose?
