Since before the time Adam and I started dating, Adam had this oh-so-dirty hat that he liked to wear. It was his only hat at the time, but after we had been dating for awhile, I bought him a different, brand new one. He wore it to make me feel good, but he still had a particular fondness toward this hat and wore it often because it looked "cool and worn."
Well, Mom Grusy, can you believe your eyes? Adam has finally decided to toss the hat in the trash. The trash has been taken out. And the hat, therefore, can't be retrieved! I think the days of old, well-worn, cool-looking hats are over for Adam. I am proud of him that he is growing up and moving on... :-)

Yikes! I can't believe it. Though, his dad asked why he was getting rid of it. I told hime that sometimes it is time to move on.
