No Christmas tree this year, but we did decorate a little. Here are some pics of the little decorating we did do (this post is more for the ladies...).
(our first stockings...)
(Christmas Centerpiece)
Here are some pictures of us taking part in some Louisville Holiday festivities:
Adam and Ethan are on Bardstown Road where we took part in "Bardstown Aglow" (there was singing, free food and hot beverages, and lite up shops). We had a great time checking everything out as a family.
(thanks to the Kennedys for the hat and mittens... we have been using them a lot)
These next pics are of "Light Up Louisville"
(Ethan got a little scared at this one and started crying...all at once they turned on all the Christmas lights and there was a lot of noise when that happened... Ethan didn't know quite what to think. our poor little sensitive guy)
We are enjoying Christmas in Louisville, but are looking forward to going to CO in less than 2 weeks to celebrate with our families.
May we remember the real reason for the season this year: that Christ was born so that we could be saved through the gracious blood shed for us on the cross! Praise be to Our Savior who gives us joy and meaning in this life. May we remember Him at times like this, in which we are so tempted to get caught up in the things of this world.

great post guys! that has been something convicting and on the forefronts of our minds this year - how to honor and glorify God most in our celebration of the seasonal holidays. thanks for the encouragement.
you guys will have to come over and enjoy our tree a little - but ps. your decorations are SUPER cute and classy.
Ethan's dad was a sensitive little guy too! Looks like you are enjoying the sights of Louisville.
I appreciate the ladies post as well! It is always fun to share a little holiday decorating - as seen in the lgrusy blog.
